Rapper Tyga has had a rough trot lately! First he reportedly broke up with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, and now he’s in trouble with the law.
The 27-year-old, whose real name is Micheal Ray Stevenson, was pulled over by LAPD officers while driving his new Mercedes G-Series SUV outside Avenue nightclub.
E! News reports that the star was initially pulled over for running a stop sign and for not having the correct registration plates on his vehicle.
The star was seen voluntarily getting out of the car to talk to officers, and the publication reports that he told paparazzi he was being cited for having “paper [registration] plates” on his car.
LAPD sources told E! News that officers on the scene “decided at the time to conduct a field sobriety test,” the outlet reports, adding that “because of the paparazzi situation, the police officers transported the rapper to the Hollywood station to conduct it.”
The publication claims that Tyga "passed the field sobriety test and was released with a traffic violation...he wasn't arrested."
It was widely reported that Kylie, 19, and Tyga split last week - and apparently his ex “didn’t worry” about his brush with the law.
““Kylie was initially scared and upset when she heard Tyga got arrested because she thought it was for something much worse,” an insider told HollywoodLife.
“When she found out the whole story, she didn’t worry about it too much because it…didn’t affect her in any way.
"She was more focused on how it would affect her than anything else."
