Samuel's sister Connie's priceless reaction to Logies win

She was too sick to attend the Logies as his date, but Samuel Johnson’s sister Connie managed to celebrate the star's Best Actor win in the most incredible way.

Huddled around an iPhone because her TV was broken, Connie has posted a clip of the exact moment she finds out her brother has taken out the gong for his portrayal of TV icon Molly Meldrum in Molly – and it’s sure to give you goosebumps.

In a video that was uploaded to the Love Your Sister Facebook page and has since been viewed over 650,000 times, Connie can be seen crossing her fingers before the winner is announced.

Screaming in excitement and throwing her hands in the air when Sam’s name is read out, Connie can be seen glued to screen, listening to the actor’s speech – and his touching tribute to his terminally ill sister.

“My sister is succumbing finally to the perils of cancer after a three decade long tussle and rather than rolling over, she's going out blazing with an attempted world record for the longest line of coins absurdly,” he says.

He went on to describe what could be the mum-of-two's last great act of courage and love, raising awareness for 'cancery families' across Australia.

"She's putting together a row of coins in the shape of a love heart, hopefully the biggest love heart this country has ever seen," he explained. "It will be made of 5 cent pieces from cancer-y families all around the country, with the entire proceeds going directly to scientists and researchers, no skimming, no admin."

He went on to dedicate his Best Actor award to his sister and urged families to donate to their charity, Love Your Sister, to help others 'terrorised' by the disease.

The close siblings were born a year apart, with the Love Your Sister Facebook page revealing the details of Connie’s lengthy battle against cancer.

“Connie has fought cancer three times in her life and Samuel has been with her every step of the way,” it explains. “This time things are different. Connie is dying and she doesn’t have much time left.”

With the response to Connie’s video crashing the FB page last night, people were quick to comment on the touching moment.

“Oh Sam, you are a beautiful, selfless human. If only the world was full of people like you. Lump in my throat, tears in my eyes. Simply incredible to use your platform to tirelessly support beautiful Connie,” wrote one.

“If that doesn't make you smile and cry in equal measure, nothing will,” added another.

Proud Connie is clearly over the moon, tweeting that it'll be a while before she sees her award winning brother.
