RHOS' Lisa calls Muslim activist a 'b***h'

We’re used to her taking down her fellow Housewives with her sharp tongue, but now Lisa Oldfield has set her sights on a new target: activist Yassmin Abdel-Magied.

The ABC presenter, 26, found herself in hot water on Facebook after posting a controversial ANZAC Day message on Tuesday reading: “Lest We Forget (Manus. Nauru. Syria. Palestine)”.

Yassmin took the post down and apologised, but that didn’t stop Lisa from weighing in, ranting on the Sky News program Paul Murray Live about the incident.

“It wasn't ignorant, she was just being a b---h,” the 41-year-old Real Housewives star said.

Lisa, whose husband David Oldfield was one of the co-founders and deputy leaders of Pauline Hanson's controversial One Nation party, wasn't done there.

“At the end of the day, I don't like what she said, I was offended by what she said, but I still support her right to freedom of speech, and my right to be able to turn around and say Lest We Forget Yassmin, that you are brown, you are Muslim and you are a girl and it's the only reason you have a job at the ABC.”

After copping backlash on Tuesday, Yassmin, who hosts ABC 24’s Australia Wide program, changed the post to read: “Lest. We. Forget”.

“It was brought to my attention that my last post was disrespectful, and for that I unreservedly apologise,” she added.

Meanwhile, Aussies are divided over the faux pas, with differing petitions popping up online to either save Yassmin’s job or get her fired from the ABC.

Almost 40,000 people have signed two separate petitions asking for Yassmin to be sacked from her presenting role, with her fate hanging in the balance despite the ABC announcing they will stand by the controversial presenter.

One petition, created by Melbourne man Avi Yemini has reached over 10,000 signatures while another created by Sydney man Mark Klein has reached almost 30,000 signatures.
