Amy Schumer splits up with boyfriend

After confirming their romance in January last year, Amy Schumer and her boyfriend Ben Hanisch are no more.

In a statement to People, Amy’s rep confirmed the split, saying: “Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends.”

Although Amy, 35, told Howard Stern in a May 3 radio interview that she was still dating Ben, the Chicago-based furniture designer has been popping up less and less on her social media accounts – and the pair’s last official event was January’s Golden Globes.

While Amy has been busy promoting her new comedy Snatched, Ben has been noticeably absent from the film’s premieres.

The couple met on a dating app in late 2015, with Amy referring to the 30-year-old as her “man” after a January 2016 visit to the White House.

In the May 3 interview, Stern asked Amy if the pair were talking about marriage, to which she replied: “I love the idea of committing to someone and making that choice and I want to have a family but right now, we are not in talks.”

She added that “it’s good to have a lot of space” in a relationship.
