Miley Cyrus has confessed that Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl song was written about her, and she likes it!
The 24-year-old opened up on radio station 103.5 KTU on Tuesday that the pair locked lips when she was only 15!
"When she came out with 'I Kissed a Girl', I was doing the Hannah Montana movie," the "Malibu" singer said. "And I heard her on the radio. They said, 'Who'd you write that about?' And she said me. And I was on a four-wheeler at the time and I heard it and I started screaming and freaking out, and then she asked me to go to the MTV VMAs with her."
Miley then admitted that her mum didn't want her to go by herself to the award ceremony so tagged along with her and Katy, even rode with them in the limo!
"She just thought it was cool that I got to go with Katy Perry," the singer confessed.
Despite Miley's claims, Katy Perry opened up about the song in an interview with Vanity Fair in March about the real meaning behind the famous song.
“What I did know is that I was curious, and even then, I knew sexuality wasn’t as black and white as this dress,” Perry said. “And honestly, I haven’t gotten all of it right, but in 2008, when that song came out, I knew that I had started a conversation that a lot of the world seemed curious enough to sing along to.” the singer admitted.
years after the song was released, the two did share an infamous kiss when Miley planted one on Katy during one of her shows.
Katy later appeared on Sunrise in 2014 and talked about the pash.
"I [went to[ give her a friendly girly kiss. You know as us girls do. And then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away. God knows where that tongue has been!" she joked.
