Hugh Grant does a 'shoey' with Aussie fans

Hugh Grant really got into party mode over the weekend, doing a "shoey" during a night out with some Oxford University rugby players, and by the looks of it, some Aussie tourists who joined in on the fun!

A video has emerged of the 56-year-old British actor taking part in the Australian tradition, which involves one downing a drink from their own shoe.

As onlookers, chanted , "I've never seen Hugh Grant do a shoe, shoe, shoe", the suited-up movie star skulled down a beverage out of what looked like a solid leather boot.

The original clip shared by Facebook page Brown Cardigan has already attracted over 20,000 views in less than 24 hours, and if you ask social media, this pretty much makes Hugh a true blue adopted Aussie, and the perfect character for the next rom com!

"The man of my 2000's movie dreams just gets better and better," one fan wrote online.

Meanwhile another penned: "Now thats a rom com id watch! (sic)".
