Katy Perry breaks down during livestream therapy session

Fans are getting the opportunity to see Katy Perry be as candid as she can be, as she films herself 24/7 in her own Celebrity Big Brother-style livestream to promote new album Witness.

The 32-year-old singer's livestream (from Thursday to Sunday), is happening right at this moment, and in recent hours the star has revealed a deeper layer of vulnerability, by streaming a therapy session in which she breaks down sobbing.

During a conversation with Dr. Siri Sat Nam Singh, a celebrity psychologist who hosts Viceland’s The Therapist, Katy begins crying as she discusses her personal battles, whether it be with alcohol, depression or her relationship with her parents.

Admitting to thoughts of suicide she says: "I wrote a song about it. I feel ashamed that I would have those thoughts, feel that low and that depressed.”

“You can be right or you can be loved. I just want to be loved."

Katy is filming the livestream at Witness Worldwide Headquarters, a house specifically created for this event.

As the star goes about her business, fans can also see her assistants, minders, chefs and pets.

While speaking with the therpaist about her battles with alcohol in the past, a minder can be heard asking Katy to stop the livestream, as the emotions are certainly getting the better of her.
