Beyoncé builds $2 million maternity ward

Beyoncé stunned the world in February when she announced that she was expecting twins with husband Jay Z.

Now, as they prepare for the arrival of the new babies, the singer is reportedly building a $2 million maternity ward inside their Hollywood home to give birth in.

The Mail Online reported that Bey has had “an entire professional neonatal wing shipped to the couple’s rented property.”

Reports had previously suggested that the couple would welcome their twins at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles but that has now changed, mainly due to privacy issues.

A neighbour of the Grammy-winning couple told the publication: “It is all about privacy and safety.”

The source said the 35-year-old has discussed it with her doctors saying: “She’s in prime physical condition and they are setting up a professional maternity unit inside the house for the birth.”

“There will also be an ambulance on standby to take her to Cedars-Sinai Hospital should she or the babies need hospital care.”

Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy in New York’s exclusive Lenox Hill hospital back in 2012, with her and Jay-Z hiring out an entire floor for privacy.

But the pair apparently received “negative publicity” because their “entourage were heavy handed” with visitors, according to The Sun.

Giving birth at home will avoid all of that and ensure maximum privacy for the whole family.

This may the most extravagant birth ever but we wouldn’t expect any less for the newborn twins of Bey and Jay!
