Posh insists she's not as 'miserable' as she looks

She's hardly been known to crack a toothy grin, but Victoria Beckham has confessed she's not as miserable as she looks.

Despite her constant stern face on the red carpet, the 43-year-old admitted that if she was as unhappy as she looked posing for the cameras there's no way hubby David Beckham would be hanging around!

"David and I have a lot of fun together. If I really was as miserable as I look in some of those paparazzi pictures, my children wouldn’t be as happy as they are. And I certainly wouldn’t be married anymore," the former Spice Girl told Vogue Netherlands.

Posh has previously opened up about her lack of smiling, telling T Magazine in 2013: "I smile in family pictures. When you’re in a position to be paparazzi-ed just walking down the street, you’d look a little daft if you were smiling all the time."

A couple of years later she'd go on to tell Vogue's 73 Questions that she was always "smiling on the inside" but she felt she had "a responsibility to the fashion community" to keep her face as serious as possible during events.

The mother-of-four appears on the cover of Vogue Netherlands this month, showing off her incredible bod in a plunging navy swimsuit.

David and Victoria are set to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary at the start of next month, with the fashion designer gushing about her husband earlier this year.

"He's my soulmate. He's the most incredible husband. We complement each other," she told US morning show Today.

"He inspires me every day, with the children, the way he treats me; it just works. We are lucky to have each other."
