They've been dodging rumours of romance for months, but Russell Crowe and Terri Irwin still seem to be each other biggest supporters on social media.
With the 53-year-old actor declaring he and Terri, the widow of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, are nothing more but good friends back in May, Twitter tells another story, with the pair interacting with each other regularly.
While Rusty regularly shouts out to Terri and her kids, Bindi and Robert Irwin, Terri is also seen interacting with The Mummy star, and is keen to spruik the actor's latest endeavours with his musical Indoor Garden Party.
Last week the flirt-fest continued when the 52-year-old Wildlife Warrior retweeted Russell's plug for the musical writing, "love is not a big enough word..." with the post.
When Terri shared a loving tribute to her late husband and his animal conservation work Russell was quick to reply writing, "Terri... you have kept his love and ambition relevant... you're amazing".
However Rusty has previously shut down romance rumours, telling KIISFM's Hughesy and Kate in May that while Terri is one of the "greatest women in life", there's no truth to the constant tabloid magazine speculation that they're denying a romance.
"That's an example of the magazines creating their own industry out of their own imagination," Rusty told the radio duo.
"The reality break is though that I was great friends with Steve and his wife and his kids are really important to me, they're beautiful people. Terri is one of the greatest women I have ever met in my life, without there being any implications of intimacy.
"You know I do love Terri Irwin and her kids and I love how she has kept the memory of Steve alive and the work that the two of them had begun, she's an absolute champion, but we're not in a relationship."
The star added that while the mag stories amuse him and Terri, they're actually doing them a " great service" by always putting the pair on the cover.
"You know what it does? It gets us on the phone every now and then, which is a great service. We talk and laugh and she catches me up on stuff and I catch her up on stuff so in a funny way magazines with their bulls**t are doing us a service because they're reminding us to stay in touch."
Meanwhile Terri also recently addressed the constant reports she and Rusty are an item, saying he's nothing more than a "dear friend".
"He is very lucky to be embroiled in all of these great rumours," she joked during an appearance on Access Hollywood in May.
"We are friends, so he did contact me and ask me if there was something I should let him know. In all honesty, he and Steve became friends many years ago, and after Steve passed, you find out who your true friends are. And Russell has been very loyal as a great friend... but absolutely just a dear friend. Nothing going on."
Hmm...we're not convinced!
