George Clooney has celebrated his first Father's Day over the weekend and it seems he's loving being a hands-on dad!
After welcoming twins Ella and Alexander with wife Amal two weeks ago, the 56-year-old actor spent Father's Day, which was celebrated this weekend in the northern hemisphere, with his new family and is reportedly an "amazing" first-time dad.
"He’s so excited about [Father's Day]," an insider told HollywoodLife.com.
"He’s an amazing dad - it’s like he was born to be one. George and Amal are even closer now that they have the twins, and he’s filled with wonder at what an awesome mother she is, so loving, patient and kind."
The Ocean's Eleven star isn't shying away from daddy duties either, with the source adding George is more than happy to get up for the midnight feedings and diaper changes!
"George is a total hands-on dad, he changes the diapers, gets up for the midnight feeds, and is by the babies’ sides as soon as they start crying.
"They have slotted into family life so quickly, and George finds it hard now to remember what his life was like before Ella and Alexander arrived," the insider continued.
George and Amal are yet to release a photo of their new bundles of joy, however George's dad Nick Clooney can't stop gushing about his new grandbabies, revealing they both have dark hair, with Alexander looking just like his dad!
"They are gorgeous. Nina swears they have George’s nose. Not both of them, one of them. The little boy looked like he had [George’s] nose. His little profile," he said in an interview with Cincinatti’s WXIX.
Proud Grandpa Nick was eager to spill the beans about the babies, revealing he was lucky enough to meet Ella and Alexander only two hours after they were born via FaceTime.
"She was just great. The babies are beautiful. Of course, she’s beautiful," he added of "superwoman" Amal and his new grandchildren.
