Katy talks Orlando 'paddlegate'

Katy Perry has spoken out about ex Orlando Bloom's infamous nude paddleboarding adventure last year, revealing the actor asked her to get naked as well but she "was not in the mood".

Speaking to The Kyle And Jackie O show on KIIS FM Wednesday, the 32-year-old singer didn't shy away from speaking about her former flame's racy display during their holiday in Italy, and it all began when radio host Kyle Sandilands asked her about the viral pics.

"Why were you clothed and Orlando had the little coney thing out? What was going on there?" Kyle asked.

Not holding back, she responded: "He asked me if I wanted to be and it’s just one of those things where I was like, ‘ah nahh’".

"You know when you’re dating someone sometimes and it’s exciting to be 'Ooh should we try and make out over here in this place', or you know what have you, and I was just not in the mood. I save it for the boat."

She then added: "He was just trying to show off for all the people back at the shore".

In April Orlando broke his silence on the incident, denying it was for publicity.

The 40-year-old actor said days of seclusion had left him thinking the paparazzi wouldn't catch the full-frontal moment.

“I have been photographed a million times in a million ways. I have a good radar,” Orlando told UK Elle.

“We’d been completely alone for five days. Nothing around us. There was no way anyone could get anything. So I had a moment of feeling free," he continued.

The extremely NSFW snaps of Orlando nude instantly went viral, with the Pirates of the Caribbean star seen on the back of the board in all his glory, while Katy sat up top looking somewhat blissfully unaware.

The father-of-one, who shares son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, also cryptically opened up about his split from Katy, with the couple calling time on their relationship in March.

“We’re friends. It’s good. We’re all grown-up. She happens to be someone who is very visible, but I don’t think anybody cares what I’m up to. Nor should they. It’s between us,” he said.

Besides The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Katy Perry also spoke to Em Rusciano and Harley Breen as well as Nova's Fitzy and Wippa.

During these chats she spoke about Wonder Woman, Niall Horan, and her new song with Calvin Harris.
