George wants to leave UK 'for twins' safety'

George Clooney’s just become a dad for the first time, and it seems like those protective paternal instincts have well and truly kicked in!

According to reports in Life & Style, the 56-year-old star is considering moving across the world for the sake of his twins Ella and Alexander’s safety.

“He doesn’t feel like Amal and the twins are safe living in the UK.' an insider told the publication. “He’s determined to move his family to LA, where he feels much more secure.”

The outlet claims that it’s the recent spate of terrorism-related incidents in London and Manchester that are making the actor uneasy about settling in his $17 million (AUD) mansion in Berkshire.

On top of that, his wife Amal, 39, is a human rights attorney who often works high-risk cases.

“As soon as Amal found out she was pregnant, he hired former Secret Service agents to assess all his properties and make recommendations for improvement,” the source told Life & Style. “His mansion in Studio City was deemed the most secure, and it’s within minutes of an LAPD station.”

After Amal’s pregnancy was first announced, George told Paris Match magazine that the couple had become much more cautious when it came to her career as a laywer and his humanitarian trips.

"We decided to be much more responsible, to avoid the danger," he told the publication. "I won't go to South Sudan any more or the Congo, Amal will no longer go to Iraq and she'll avoid places where she knows she isn't welcome."
