Beyoncé and Jay Z reveal twins names

They've been kept hidden from the world, but Beyoncé and Jay Z have seemingly revealed their newborn twins names!

We welcome you to the world Rumi and Sir Carter!

Beyoncé and Jay filed paperwork to trademark their names earlier this week, around about the same time the couple took the twins home, according to TMZ.

It's not the first time Bey and Jay have filed the paperwork either, trademarking big sister Blue Ivy's name earlier this year.

And while we wouldn't expect just any old names for the newest additions to the Carter clan, it appears the power couple had poetic inspiration when trying to decide on a name for the twins!

TMZ adds Rumi was a Persian poet from the 13th century, and Sir is a reference to one of his best known poems that reads: "Bring the pure wine of love and freedom. But sir, a tornado is coming. More wine, we'll teach this storm. A thing or two about whirling."

The Bey Hive went into meltdown last month with the news that the Queen Bey herself had given birth to a boy and a girl.

At the time TMZ reported the 35-year-old had given birth earlier in June but "minor issues" had kept herself and her newborns in hospital after they arrived premature.

Now, besides the interest in Beyonce twin photos and hilarious Beyonce twin memes, there's also sure to be people ready to have their say about Beyonce twins names.
