Samuel Johnson: 'My first kiss was with Kate Ritchie'

Gold Logie winner Samuel Johnson has revealed his first kiss EVER was with Kate Ritchie for a cute Home And Away scene.

Taking to Facebook, the 38-year-old actor said: "Kate Richie was my first kiss. Not my first screen kiss. My first real, actual kiss.And it was on-screen!"

We have to admit, the smooch is quite cute. Ahh young love! Watch above as Samuel's bad boy character Gus Bishop and Kate's iconic Sally Fletcher lock lips.

Samuel, who co-found Love Your Sister with his sibling Connie battling cancer, continued writing on the charity's Facebook page, explaining Kate has now reached out with a generous donation to go towards further research.

"Many years later I hid from her when we were shooting Underbelly II, because I was still so embarrassed. And now, without me having any clue, she's gone and put her heart print in with Connie's and mine, in support of 'A Heart as Big as Yours' - villager Maria Ramos's $100,000 art fundraising project," the actor wrote.

"What started as a very awkward kiss 20 years ago has blossomed into a beautiful heart, made of her finger prints, in support of cancer research. What a champ.

"Thanks for putting a beautiful ending on my awkward tale of woe Kate!

Attached was an image of Kate and artist Maria, which was also posted on the former Home And Away actress's Instagram page.

Samuel's 37 year-old sister Connie is fighting breast cancer.

She's the mother of two boys, and has fought cancer three times- the first time, at age 11, Connie was diagnosed with a bone tumour in her leg, and at 22 had a tumour in her womb.

Actor Samuel has in the past raised money and awareness for Connie by riding a unicycle.
