Are Richie and Alex still together?

They fell in love and sucked each other's faces off last year on The Bachelor, but has the final petal dropped on Richie Strahan and Alex Nation's romance?

Their barely-a-year-old relationship has been plagued with rumours of fights and break-ups, and while it wouldn't exactly be ~shocking~ news, fans are once again speculating whether or not "Rilex" have relaxed on their PDA and called it a day.

And like all good relationship speculation, the latest round of rumours they've cooled their bananas stems from Richie's solo vacay, with the 32-year-old sharing a selfie earlier this week from a tropical location.

Fans grilled Richie, commenting on the photo and asking whether or not he and Alex were still dating, however their pleas for reasurrance that they're still a couple sadly went unanswered.

Diving deeper, the Bachelorette reject hasn't shared a photo of himself with Alex since May 22, surprising many who once were under the impression sharing their PDA-filled couple photos was a national pasttime for Rilex.

And while Alex has shared a series of cute snaps of her son Elijah, there's been nothing of her and Richie since April 25, when the model dedicated a loving post to her man after they walked the red carpet together at this year's Logie Awards.

But it seems after countless fans hounded him about the status of their relationship, Richie is finally showing Alex some Insta love, even if it's just with emojis, leaving 😍🔥🦊 on her latest post.

Alex has also gone on the offense, with OK! mag this week quoting the 26-year-old as saying: "It's been really tricky, but we annoy each other on the phone every day" when discussing her long-distance relationship. Richie calls Perth home, while Alex and Elijah are based in Melbourne.

Back in May this year Richie had a tanty about the constant speculation, saying he was "fed up" with the constant questions about where him and Alex are at on the rollercoaster that is love.

"There is no point in trying to justify our relationship constantly. It is not being uncomfortable [with the media], it is being fed up because there is no point in having a response, because our response does not get heard it just gets lost," he told The Daily Telegraph.

"Bottom line is long distance [in a relationship] can suck, but we make it work," Alex added.

Whether Richie and Alex will ever address their relationship status remains to be seen, but in the meantime let the speculation reign supreme.
