R. Kelly’s alleged hostage is ‘totally fine’
R. Kelly’s alleged hostage has spoken out against her family’s claims that she was being held captive.
Speaking to TMZ, Joycelyn Savage responded to the sensational claims made by her family saying: “I am in a happy place with my life and I’m not being brainwashed or anything like that.”
She went on to tell the publication she is “totally fine” but is “heartbroken” by her parents’ accusations.
The 21-year-old admitted she hasn’t spoken with her parents properly in about five months and only text “from time to time”.
However, when Joycelyn was asked directly by the publication her whereabouts or if she was “free to go” from where she was, she refused to give an answer to both questions.
R. Kelly has denied a series of allegations suggesting he's the "mastermind" behind an "abusive cult".
A BuzzFeed report published on Monday (US time) claimed the 50-year-old houses six women in Chicago and Atlanta properties, controlling every aspect of their lives "dictating what they eat, how they dress, when they bathe, when they sleep, and how they engage in sexual encounters that he records."
However a representative for R. Kelly has denied the claims, telling TMZ the singer was "alarmed and disturbed" by the detailed report, which included statements from parents of the alleged victims, as well as three women who used to be part of his "inner circle".

Joycelyn’s mother believes their daughter was being “brainwashed” by the singer and is “being held against her will” in a “cult”.
R. Kelly has a history of sexual allegations made against him, and was acquitted on 14 charges of making child pornography back in 2008.
