Madam Tussauds slammed for wax figure
Madam Tussauds proudly unveiled a new figure at their New York museum this week and it really is a sight to behold.
Guess who?
Intended to be a likeness of singing superstar Beyoncé (yes, really), the statue has got people alternating between hysterical fits of laughter and, well, anger.
In our opinion, it looks like Rita Ora and Taylor Swift decided to mend their Calvin Harris-related differences and have a love child together. Beyoncé it ain’t!
Once someone posted a pic of “Beyoncé” on Twitter, the reactions were predictably savage.
Many users pointed out the many issues with the figure, including the “white-washing” of her skin, slimming down of her famous figure and the fact that it, er, looks nothing like her.

Beyond the skin tone - that's not her face. Where's her hips? What's happening here?

TMZ reports that Madam Tussauds have gone into damage control, focusing on the white-washing angle.
"Our talented team of sculptors takes every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted,” a spokesperson said in a statement.

“Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures."
Colour is one thing, but that face. Have they ever seen Beyonce?
