WATCH: Police called to Matty J's Bachelor mansion

The fifth season of The Bachelor Australia is set to have more action and drama than any other season, with the second promo (see above) showing a glimpse of some catfights and police making an entry to the Bachelor mansion.

As hunk Matty J begins acquainting himself with the lovely ladies vying for his attention, a visit from some cops brings some unexpected action that even a rose ceremony probably can't fix.

"Woah, what's happening?" one bachelorette is heard saying.

"All of a sudden the lights went out," another says, before the sirens start going off.

Speaking with OK magazine 31-year-old Matty admits there's been lots of drama behind the scenes.

“There were times when I knew that there was tension in the air, except no one would tell me what had happened and I didn’t want to pry too much," he tells the publication.

And after seeing the aggressive exchange of words between some of the bachelorettes in the teaser, it’s hard not to believe that we all in for a real treat next week.

The marketing exec admitted that there was serious drama but was kept in the dark.

“It would be the elephant in the room and we would have to just move on. I knew something had happened but I didn’t know between who and exactly what,” he tells the outlet.
