Tragically, Chester was a close friend of Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, 53, who committed suicide in May. He performed a version of the Leonard Cohen song "Hallelujah" at Chris' funeral.
The Linkin Park frontman took his own life on what would have been Chris’ 54th birthday.
As news of Chester's suicide emerged, Chris' widow Vicky took to the social media site to share her own grief.
Just when I thought my heart couldn't break any more.....I love you T

Chester was a father of six, and TMZ reports his family are currently out of town.
