Karl Stefanovic talks failure and shame

From confirming his divorce to going public with a new romance, all the while hosting a breakfast television show, presenter Karl Stefanovic has had an eventful past 10 months.

In a new interview, the 42-year-old Today Show host is said to open up about his life, and one telling magazine cover already hints that the father-of-three will reflect on some of the more difficult times.

"I've had some very dark moments where I've felt ashamed and that I had failed," a quote caption reads next to a glossy black and white filtered image of the TV star on the cover of Sunday's upcoming Stellar magazine.

While Karl has always been a popular personality, there's been heightened interest in his personal life after he split from wife of 21 years Cassandra Thorburn last September.

Since December, the Channel Nine star has been dating 33-year-old Jasmine Yarbrough, and the pair confirmed their appearance once and for all with a front row Fashion Week appearance back in May.

Back in May reports claimed that wedding talk is on the horizon, with the TV presenter apparently asking his girl: "Will you spend the rest of your life with me?".

While he's "stopping short of proposing until his divorce is finalised", Karl is keen to make a solid commitment with the young fashion designer, reported New Idea magazine.

Karl, is a father to three children Jackson, 17, Ava, 11 and River, 10, from his marriage to Cassandra.
