J.Law and Margot's 'vicious rivalry'

They’re two of Hollywood’s most popular stars, but according to new reports there’s no love lost between Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie!

In fact, with the two both tapped to be part of Quentin Tarantino’s next project about the Manson family murders, sources claim the pair are fighting for the best role.

The two stars reportedly both want to play Sharon Tate, the fiancée of director Roman Polanski, who was murdered at her LA home by cult leader Charles Manson’s followers in 1979 along with four other victims. The actress, then 26, was eight-and-a-half months pregnant at the time.

“Nothing’s set in stone yet,” an insider told NW magazine about the film. “They’re both trying to influence Quentin with texts and emails and lunches.”

Meanwhile, Sharon’s sister Debra Tate has weighed in, and made it pretty clear which star she is backing.

“They’re both extremely accomplished actresses but I would have to say, my pick would be Margot,” she told TMZ after news of the film was announced. “Simply because her physical beauty and the way she even carries herself is similar to that of Sharon.”

Debra continued: “I don’t think as much about Jennifer Lawrence. Not that I have anything against her. But…she’s not pretty enough to play Sharon. That’s a horrible thing to say, but I have my standards.”

NW’s source adds that while Margot “has the edge and the looks, Jennifer’s not giving in,” adding that the pair has been locked in a "vicious rivalry" for several years.
