This is why Jason Dundas could never be The Bachelor

He has the sizzling six pack, dreamy dimples and even previous reality show experience, but hunky model Jason Dundas says he could never be The Bachelor.

The 35-year-old, who recently wrapped up his male ambassador gig with David Jones, reveals he's looking forward to watching Matty J's season of the popular dating show, but finding love on television is not on his to-do list.

Speaking to Be as he promotes his collaboration with Gumtree for its 10th anniversary campaign, the former X Factor Australia host admits he's a "softie" who wouldn't be able to keep his emotions in check during a rose ceremony.

"I couldn't do that," he says about appearing on the popular program that has helped the likes of Tim Robards and Sam Wood find love.

"I would fall in love too easily. I’m a softie," he continues.

"I’m a hopeless romantic, I would go and fall in love with the first girl I meet!"

Jason has been single since he split from Vogue fashion assistant Rey-Hanna Vakili in 2014 after five years of dating.

These days dating shows are only one of the many ways people are finding love, with various apps and websites, also a popular option for those single and ready to mingle.

When asked by Be if he would consider going on a date with a woman who had a personals ad in a classifieds website like Gumtree, Jason says, "I don’t think so, no".

But he's more than happy to be collaborating with the brand to mark its 10th anniversary.

The former Getaway presenter embarked on a road trip around Australia, interviewing various Gumtree buyers and sellers about their success stories.

"It was a really great opportunity to produce an engaging story and on the road, I was writing, producing, directing and hosting, so it was a really nice opportunity to be immersed in the whole concept," Jason says of his involvement with the project.
