Photographer speaks out after being hit by Justin Bieber
The photographer who Justin Bieber hit in his truck has spoken out since the accident, saying “he’s a good kid.”
Maurice Lamont took to his Instagram on Thursday to share a video of himself in a hospital bed letting everyone know that there are no hard feelings toward the 23-year-old.
“Shotgetter’s hanging in there everybody, an hour before my birthday hits I get run over by Justin Bieber, isn’t that something, he’s a good kid though.”
The pap continued, “I think the truck was a little a bit too big for him though, cause there’s no way he could see over the front, it was the slope it was on, but like I said he got out, he was compassionate, he’s a good kid, accidents happen.”
The Canadian-born singer was involved in the collision on Wednesday night, when he struck a pap in Beverly Hills after leaving a church service at the Saban Theater.
After the Hillsong event finished around 9.25pm local time, the 57-year-old was hit by Bieber’s truck.
Video footage was captured of Justin getting into his black Dodge Ram before pulling out into the street and hitting the photographer who was trying to take some snaps.
Justin remained on site until paramedics arrived, assisting with police enquiries, while the photographer was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
