Coldplay’s touching tribute to Linkin Park
Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington tragically took his own life last month and now Coldplay have paid tribute to the singer at their concert in New Jersey.
Front Chris Martin took to the stage to perform a moving acoustic version of the hit Linkin Park song “Crawling”.
The packed audience fell silent as the singer performed the stunning heartfelt tribute which had been stripped right back and fatured only Chris' vocals and a piano.
Chester died after taking his own life on July 20, aged 41.

Prior to his death, Chester had spoken openly about his struggles with drug and alcohol abuse, depression, and being abused as a child, and his bandmates understood his "demons" were always a part of him and something that made the group more "human".
In an open letter to their bandmate Linkin Park members – Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Rob Bourdon – said they’ve been left with a “void that can never be filled” after Chester’s death.
Chester was married to Talinda Bentley and had six children, three of them from a previous marriage.
