There are fears for the heth of actor Val Kilmer after he pulled out of a series of events at the last minute by posting vague excuses to his Twitter account.
The 57-year-old former Batman star missed two appearances in Tampa, Flordia last month citing 'family reasons'.
The Top Gun actor was supposed to attent a film screening on July 11 but on July 10 he tweeted that the show had to be put off.
Later that month he was supposed to return for appearances in Tampa Bay but again put those off citing "family stuff".
He also dropped out of his own art exhibit in Los Angeles.
According to Page Six, Val also missed the opening of his own art exhibit claiming he was "delayed on a project".
Recent photos posted to his Instagram account show a gaunt-looking Val, a far cry from his muscular Batman days.
In a AMA with Reddit, Kilmer finally admitted he was battling cancer after repeatedly denying it for a year.
The fan asked Val: 'A while ago, Michael Douglas claimed you had terminal cancer. What was the story behind that?'
Kilmer responded: 'He was probably trying to help me cause press probably asked where I was these days, and I did have a healing of cancer, but my tongue is still swollen altho healing all the time [sic].
'Because I don't sound my normal self yet people think I may still be under the weather.'
Val is a Christian Scientist and the religion believes that sickness is a 'mental error' and that a sufferer can be healed through prayer.
