Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller 'hires prison guard'

As she adjusts to life behind bars, Abby Lee Miller has now hired a bodyguard to "keep her safe" after getting into a fight.

After reporting to prison last month to serve a 366-day sentence for bankruptcy fraud, the 50-year-old Dance Moms star felt she needed extra protection after an altercation with a fellow inmate.

"Abby started paying a woman who happens to be very feared to shadow her around and keep her safe," an insider told RadarOnline, adding that Abby is "paying her off in commissary credit."

The insider adds that a heated argument broke out between Abby and the inmate, saying it "caused a stir" at the Federal Correctional Institute.

"The woman Abby got into the argument with was just tired of seeing and hearing her cry in the multi-room. Although neither one of them got an infraction, it did cause a stir and counselors came into the room to intervene. But by then the tiff was already over."

Abby is reportedly struggling to adjust to her new life, with the source telling the outlet she is regularly seen "crying alone in her cell" and is still acting like the diva that made her so popular on TV.

"She insisted on watching herself on TV when the footage of her surrender was aired, and that made some of the women very angry."

Abby began her sentence on Wednesday, July 12 in Victorville, California, and was seen arriving to the correctional facility two-hours before her deadline.
