Jesinta and Buddy's 'balanced' home life

They wed in a top secret ceremony late last year and it seems married life is treating Jesinta Franklin (neé Campbell) and husband Lance 'Buddy' Franklin very nicely.

Speaking to Be before hitting the runway at the David Jones spring/summer runway show on Wednesday, the 25-year-old model said she and her AFL playing hubby have found the perfect balance between their work and home life. Watch the chat above.

“He gets up and goes to work and I get up and go to work and it’s the same as most couples, it’s just that our jobs are a little bit different to the average Australian couple but at the end of the day it’s still the same," Jesinta told Be.

And while admitting their relationship is in the spotlight, Jesinta added they're not that different to any other couple, joking that she and Buddy argue over whose turn it is to do household chores!

"We still have arguments over text about who is going to put the washing on and who is going to walk the dog, we do all of that," she laughed.

"But it’s just about finding that balance and making sure we are there to support each other when we’re busy. He’s probably running around town with a ‘to do’ list that I gave him because it’s his day off and I have a really busy day. It’s like any couple, we just make it work."

Buddy took to Instagram on Thursday night, sharing a photo of him and Jesinta on the red carpet at the runway event, writing: "Proud of my beautiful wife".

Jesinta also shared her secrets on how she gets runway ready, saying she takes a lot of pride in the effort she puts in to her preparation, and joked that it even rivals Buddy's pre-season training!

“I really put a lot of effort into it and I’m not the kind of model who can roll out of bed and just look good automatically and I’m not afraid to share that effort I put in,” Jesinta told Be.

“Some girls are like ‘I drink lots of water and go for a walk’ and it’s like ‘No you don’t!’ But I really do up the anti and I do love it. I’m really sporty and athletic so it’s an enjoyable process for me.”
