George and Amal 'increase security' for twins

The world is yet to catch a glimpse of them, but George and Amal Clooney are taking no chances when it comes to the safety of their newborn twins.

While the Clooney's have kept their baby son and daughter under wraps after the 39-year-old lawyer gave birth back in June, an insider claims the 56-year-old actor and his wife have added extra security in a bid to keep their little ones safe.

"Amal is already concerned for their safety, which has only got worse since the birth of their children. The latest incident has really galvanised her and George," the source spilled to Grazia.

"They are hell-bent on doing whatever it takes to protect the twins and they’ve told their security advisors that money is not an issue when it comes to ensuring their safety."

The publication adds that after several security breaches in recent months, George and Amal have reported added "video surveillance, bulletproof walls, panic rooms and basement bunkers" to make sure their children are kept out of harms way!

The couple's decision to increase security comes after the Ocean's Eleven star declared he would ensure French magazine Voici would be "prosecuted to the full extent of the law" after claiming the publication managed to obtain photos of the twins by illegally scaling a fence on one of their properties.

In June the glamourous couple announced they had welcomed twins, son Alexander and daughter Ella.

"Make no mistake: the photographers, the agency and the magazine will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The safety of our children demands it," George said at the time.

This isn't the first time insiders have claimed the first-time parents are taking extra safety precautions when it comes to their brood, with claims shortly after their birth that protective papa George had hired baby bouncers!

"Fatherhood was a long time coming for George so he’s not risking his brood coming to any harm. The baby bouncers are just the start," a source told RadarOnline in June, adding that each bub has its own security detail to stand guard over them, even in the nursery while they sleep.

The outlet claimed the bodyguards came at a cool price of $318,000 USD (over $422,000 AUD) a year, and added the new dad also forked out $127,000 USD (around $169,000 AUD) for a high-tech security system to be installed at the family’s UK property.
