Groping DJ denies sexual assault against Taylor Swift

Former radio host David Mueller has spoken out, less then 24 hours after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting Taylor Swift.

Speaking with Good Morning America, David maintained his innocence, saying he never groped the 27-year-old singer's bottom during a meet-and-greet in June 2013. Watch the interview above.

When asked by the network whether he was implying Taylor was "lying" or "mistaken" about the incident David replied: "What I’m saying is, I didn’t do what they say I did. I didn’t do it."

"I never grabbed her, I never had my hand under her skirt, and I can pass a polygraph," he added.

Explaining his movements in the photograph in question with the Blank Space songstress, the Denver-based radio personality said it looked awkward because he "wasn't ready".

"I wasn’t ready. I wasn’t invited to be in the photo, so I just moved into the shot the best I could."

David was seeking $3 million in damages, claiming he lost his job at KYGO radio after Taylor's security team accused him of groping her.

The jury, comprised of six women and two men, ruled in favour of Taylor after nearly four hours of deliberation, with David now forced to pay a symbolic $1, the amount Swift nominated as a token gesture to show she was not after money, only to clear her name.
