Brad and Ange divorce talks in 'high gear'

Despite claims the actress was "stalling" on officially ending their marriage, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce proceedings are in "high gear" and is full steam ahead.

Numerous reports last week suggested Hollywood's former golden couple were on track for a "reconciliation", sources tell TMZ "nothing could be further from the truth" and Brad and Ange are in the middle of "hashing out both child custody and property settlements".

Love is truly dead.

The insider adds Ange's allegations of child abuse levelled at Brad at the time of her divorce filing, claims the 53-year-old was later cleared of, is the major reason the couple will never get back together.

Last week fresh claims suggested the pair hadn't moved on with proceedings in "several months" because Brad was trying to "win" his ex back, despite the public slinging match and bitter custody battle that ensued following the 42-year-old actress' decision to end their union last September.

"The divorce is off. They haven't done anything to move it forward in several months and no one thinks they are ever going to," an insider told Us Weekly.

Having come clean about how his bad habits contributed to the end of his marriage earlier this year in a revealing GQ profile, the source added Brad's attempts to get sober have Ange second-guessing the split.

The outlet continued, saying Ange would even consider taking the War Machine actor back "if he showed he was committed to raising a family", with the source adding Brad "got sober to try and win Ange back" knowing that "all she ever wanted" was for him to give up the booze.

"Everyone thinks they are going to get back together. It wouldn't be surprising if they announced that they're calling it off and trying to work things out," the insider added.
