DJ begs for work after Taylor Swift sexual assault case

Former radio host David Mueller says he is desperate to be employed after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting Taylor Swift.

In a video published by TMZ, the DJ admits he is "willing to even work for free", and if worst comes to worst, he will "get some plastic surgery and change my identity".

"I've been personally seeking employment since after the concert," he says in the clip, referring to the Taylor Swift meet-and-greet in June 2013, during which Swift claims he groped her bottom.

"I also had a talent agent at the time of the incident and right now I don’t have any offers so a lot of my friends in radio know that I’d be willing to even work for free," he continues.

"I’m hoping to clear my name and get my reputation back so I can work on a morning show, that’s my number one passion, morning radio," he says in the clip.

Explaining it's been difficult for people to place trust in him since the case, Mueller also says: "I’m talking to people and not one person has said, 'yeah let’s give him a chance', but then that might change but this is still very fresh".

"It was a big story this week so maybe in the future I might have to get some plastic surgery and change my identity, I don’t know. I really don’t know," he concludes.

Mueller was seeking $3 million in damages, claiming he lost his job at KYGO radio after Swift's security team accused him of groping her.

The jury, comprised of six women and two men, ruled in favour of Swift after nearly four hours of deliberation, with Mueller now forced to pay a symbolic $1, the amount
Swift nominated as a token gesture to show she was not after money, only to clear her name.

In an interview with Good Morning America following the verdict, Mueller maintained his innocence, saying he never groped the 27-year-old singer's bottom during that meet-and-greet session.

When asked by the network whether he was implying Taylor was "lying" or "mistaken" about the incident David replied: "What I’m saying is, I didn’t do what they say I did. I didn’t do it."

"I never grabbed her, I never had my hand under her skirt, and I can pass a polygraph," he added.

Explaining his movements in the photograph in question with the Blank Space songstress, the Denver-based radio personality said it looked awkward because he "wasn't ready".
