Stars rally around Johnny Ruffo after shock cancer diagnosis
Aussie celebrities have rallied around former Home & Away star Johnny Ruffo after his shock aggresive brain cancer diagnosis.
The 29-year-old took to Instagram last night to reveal he was battling the disease and will soon begin 'aggresive cancer treatment'.
In his post the star wrote: "So I have the news. It was a bit of a shock and i've got an interesting journey ahead and a bit of a battle. I am starting agressive treatment for the next few months to fight the diagnosis of brain cancer.
Last week he underwent emergency surgery to remove a brain tumour after visiting the doctor complaining of a headache.
Home & Away star Ada Nicodemou commented on Johnny's most recent post writing: 'Sending u so much love and all my strength. Fight the fight like I know you can'
Fellow former Home and Away actress Rhiannon Fish also commented leaving a simple heart emoji.
Several other Aussie celebrities also left their well wishes on Johnny's post, with many urging him to stay strong as he begins the fight of his life.
Johnny shot to fame after starring on The X Factor, placing third in the 2011 series.
Proving to be a triple threat, he has not only danced and sung his way into the hearts of Australians, but he's shown off his acting chops with a role on popular soap Home and Away.

He played Chris Harrington on the Channel Seven Logie award-winning drama from 2013 to 2016.
