Zumbo and MKR's Nelly slam cheating rumours

Adriano Zumbo and Nelly Riggio went public with their romance at the end of last year and now the couple have finally opened up about their romance.

The couple first met after the former My Kitchen Rules star Nelly interviewed for a job at Zumbo's Patisserie last September.

At first their relationship was purely platonic as Nelly was still dating her former partner of five years JP Huillet.

But the MKR stars’ romance soon fizzled out after Nelly were forced to relocate from Brisbane to Sydney for her new job.

Nelly soon found love with the dessert chef icon but insists to New Idea the was no crossover between the relationships.

“There were a lot of rumours that it had something to do with Adriano, but that’s not true. He’s not a homewrecker, he knew I was in a relationship,” she told the magazine.

“But it just wasn’t working with JP any more. We could both tell it was… over,” she added.

The spark between the dessert chef and Nelly first ignited when they were on a business trip together in Indonesia and once they spent time together falling in love for the couple “was almost instantaneous”.

The couple told each other how they felt at Christmas time last year and Adriano said he “felt like [he] was 16 again”.

“We were both trying to tell each other something, but I didn’t know whether to say it or not. It was like being a kid,” Zumbo told the publication.

Despite having been together for the last 10 months, Nelly joked to the mag that she and her beau are still yet to have their “official first date”.
