WATCH: Taylor Swift returns to social media

After deleting her social media accounts over the weekend, Taylor Swift has made a brief, and very weird return.

Uploading a video to her Instagram and Twitter, Tay Tay doesn't make an appearance herself, instead opted to share a video of what appears to be a snakes tail. Try and make sense of it yourself and watch the clip above!

We're totally confused on what it could be. Is Tay responding to all the #TeamKaty fans who have called her a snake in the past? Has she turned into a snake? Is it even a snake?

Maybe Taylor is mourning the death of Viserion, one of Daenerys' dragons from last night's ep of Game of Thrones (SPOILER)? There are many questions that need to be answered.

Or maybe, and in what may be a more logical suggestions, the 27-year-old is teasing new music?

Shortly after she shared the short clip, Bad Blood director Joseph Kahn also posted the video with a smiley face alongside it, writing on Twitter, "In 30 minutes, as a show of power, @taylorswift13 will blot out the sun."

Uh huh... Okay then.

Look, we can't really be sure what is going on, or what this video is about, so it looks like we'll just have to wait until we're given more clues!

Earlier this year a source revealed to Us Weekly that the singer was quietly working on new music, despite taking a backseat from the limelight.

"She's aiming to release an album this fall," the insider spilled at the time.

"She's continuing down the pop route because 1989 was a huge success and fans really gravitated toward that album. She knows there's a demand for a new album and has really started focusing on making that happen for fans. She's just excited to get back out there."
