Matty responds to Leah's 'hateful' comments

She was unceremoniously booted out of the Bachie mansion after stirring the pot one too many times, going on to slam her would-be love interest but now Matty J has hit back at Leah Costa's scathing comments about him.

Chatting to Hit105’s Stav, Abby & Matt with Osher, Matty admitted it was a relief when Leah finally left the mansion, as it gave the remaining girls a chance to live in a drama-free house.

“I completely underestimated how different it is in the mansion when there’s a group of guys verses a group of women. It was nice to have Leah leave just to let the drama settle a little bit," the 30-year-old Bachelor told the radio hosts.

Matty also seemed unfazed by spiteful comments made by Leah following her exit from the house, where she told Stav, Abby, Matt and Osher that she was "never a Matty fan" and that she thought he was just a "great actor" when it came his "heartbreak" over Georgia Love last year on The Bachelorette.

“Oh wow, cuts deep," Matty retorted drily. "I would be naïve to think everybody is going to fall in love with me, and obviously she didn’t and it’s a shame but it wasn’t to be," he added.

A jilted Leah, who revealed she had previously worked as a topless waitress to Matty before he booted her off the show, defended her previous line of work to the radio hosts last week, telling them she felt "degraded" by the way she was shamed for her exotic job.

"I had told the producers that I had done that [topless waitressing] so they were aware," she said. "The thing that annoys me is that Matty goes, 'I didn't know Leah had a business.' We had a really in-depth converstaion about it on night one, so did know but conveniently had forgotten. Like, shut up Matty."

"I was hiding nothing, he just never asked me. I felt a little bit degraded, at no point did they make it about my current life, and that I'm studying or the fact that I'm just really funny."

Well there certainly seems to be no love lost between these two!
