WATCH: Natalie Barr got her head caught in lift doors

We've all done it; get so immersed on whatever we're doing on our phones (texting, gaming, stalking) that we lose track of what's going on around us.

Sunrise reporter Natalie Barr knows exactly what that feels like.

The journalist today revealed that she was so distracted on her phone that she actually got caught inbetween some lift doors at Channel Seven's Martin Place studios.

Natalie made the revelation during a segment in which her co-hosts David 'Kochie' Koch and Samantha Armytage were discussing mobile phone fails from falling down stairs or getting caught in lifts.

“That actually happened to me, that lift thing,” the 49-year-old admitted to the hosts.

She added: “It was shutting on me. It kind of slammed on me.”

Turns out she actually got caught her head caught in the lift.

Natalie blamed the “really dangerous” lift in the Channel Seven studios, even though the reporter was actually on her phone at the time.

We wonder if there is surveillance footage of that happening?
