Chris and Anna get marriage counselling

It’s the split that shocked fans around the world but now new reports say Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are secretly trying to save their marriage and are heading to couples counselling.

Life and Style reports the couple are trying to sort out their issues and want to reconcile.

“It’s the first time they’ve ever been in counselling together and it only happened after they split,” a source revealed to the outlet.

“They have committed to it. They are trying to keep the pressure low by doing it out of the spotlight, but there is still a lot of love between them.”

It comes after the pair announced their shock split two weeks ago when they both posted a public statement to Facebook and Instagram.

"Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed.

"Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward,” the post continued. “We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

Anna also shared the statement on her Instagram account.

Chris, 38, and Anna, 40, were married for eight years and have a four-year-old son, Jack.

The pair met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight back in 2007.
