Jake slams Jen's 'douche' comments about Bachelor Matty J

Since storming out of the mansion in last night's episode, The Bachelor villain Jen Hawke hasn't wasted time in throwing shade at Matty J, calling him "a bit of a douche".

But now former The Bachelorette star Jake Ellis, who's also dated Jen in the past, has slammed the busty brunette's comments.

"I consider Matty one of my really good friends so to hear that, I don’t like hearing that because I don’t think that’s true at all," he tells Be.

During an interview on Friday morning, Jen raised eyebrows when she told KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O show what she really thought of Matty.

"I just wasn't really into Matty, he's just a bit of a douche," she said.

"I really lost respect for him for the way he handled the whole Leah/Simone situation and I really don't like the fact he sent Michelle home- she's the biggest catch in that house and he didn't even give her a date!" she added.

Jake tells Be that he's kept in contact with Matty ever since they starred alongside each other onThe Bachelorette last year.

While Matty placed runner-up in the bid to win Georgia Love's heart, Jake came close behind in third place.

"All the boys we’re still very close, we have a big group chat and all of that kind of stuff," he explains.

As for Jen, there's a bit of a history there as well.

"I do know Jen," Jake admits to Be.

" We spent some time hanging out a long time ago. It definitely wasn’t for five months and I’m definitely not an ex-boyfriend," he continues, responding to recent reports suggesting they were an official couple.

"We hung out a few times, I guess you could call it dating but it was never something official or anything like that. I’m not her ex-boyfriend."
