Mel B defends THAT awkward live TV spat

Mel B has responded to that incident on America’s Got Talent that saw her chuck a glass of water at Simon Cowell’s face after he made a crude joke about her wedding night.

Speaking to Extra’s Terri Seymour after the show (fun fact: Terri and Simon used to date back in the day) Mel said: The act before made me cry, because it’s all about dad’s and cancer and I just lost my dad. He goes and says something stupid like that, so then I got angry”.

The former Spice Girl then smiled and asked jokingly: “How do you know what my wedding night was like?”

The drama all started when host Tyra Banks asked Simon about one of the magic acts.

"I feel like this would be a lot like Mel's wedding night, a lot of anticipation…not much promise or delivery," he cheekily said, which provoked Mel to take action.

The comments came at a really rough time for Mel B who is currently in the midst of a bitter divorce battle with her ex Stephen Belafonte.
