Gwyneth Paltrow admits she 'ruins' relationships

She was one half of our couple goals during the 1990s but Gwyneth Paltrow has admitted she's the reason her relationships end - including her failed engagement to Brad Pitt!

The 44-year-old candidly spoke about her romantic history, saying she has stuggled with successful relationships because she "f***s" them up.

"Success to me is really relationships that function really well. Where there is a beautiful feedback loop between people. I mean, I think without relationships of quality, you are not a successful person," the actress said during a guest stint on the Girlboss Radio podcast.

"So, if you don’t have a good relationship with your partner, your children, your best friends, then I think it’s very hard to claim success. And it’s also free and it also makes life feel full and rich and happy, like the quality of your relationships dictate so much of how your life feels. So for me, that’s the number one."

Gwyn was candid about the role she plays in her romantic relationships as well adding: "I’ve f***ed up so many relationships. So many. I’m actually a pretty good friend and a good sister and a daughter and a mother, but I am at my potentially most vulnerable and f***ed up in the romantic slice of the pie. So it’s taken me a lot of work to get to the place where I have a good romantic relationship."

The Iron Man star even admitted her fault when it came to the moment in history where she could have been Mrs. Brad Pitt.

Brad and Gwen started dating in 1994 after meeting on the set of Seven, with the actor popping the question in 1996. Sadly their engagement was over by 1997 and the world would never see a wedded union.

"I f***ed that up, Brad," she joked during the interview.

Gwyn also dated Ben Affleck from 1997-2000 before going on to marry Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in 2003.

Depsite their decade-long union, Gwyn and Chris announced their "consciously uncoupling" by 2014. The former couple continue to co-parent their two kids, daughter Apple, 12, and 10-year-old son Moses.

And it seems she's not that unlucky in love with Gwyn currently dating TV writer Brad Falchuk.
