Chrissy and John's shock 'split' news

They epitomise #couplegoals in Hollywood, but even Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have had a rocky patch in their relationship, leading to the decision to potentially split.

Speaking to the Guardian, 38-year-old John reveals he once tried to breakup with his wife when he became overwhelmed by work, but she wouldn't let it happen because... #truelove!

"I was really stressed and busy. I was just like, 'I'd just be happier single right now,' and she was like, 'No'," he explained.

Then having no shortage of compliments to share about his loving 31-year-old wife, he said: "She pushes me to be funnier, not because she's trying to, I think it's just being around her. And to be bolder".

The couple tied the knot back in September 2013 after four years of dating and share gorgeous daughter Luna, born in April last year.

They first met on the set of John's Stereo music video shoot back in 2007, and sparks flew instantly.

Meanwhile in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, John opened up about the pair's relationship once again.

"We’re always honest with each other, so we discuss everything that’s on our minds," he said.

The musician added: "I don't mind being known as somebody who's devoted to their wife. I am devoted to Chrissy. And when I write about [my commitment to her], it's me being authentic".
