Inside Scott Disick's 'breakdown'

After it was revealed Scott Disick was hospitalised and placed on a psychiatric hold last month, new claims suggest the reality star refused to take medication which led to his "breakdown".

Despite being seen spending the northern hemisphere summer partying it up, RadarOnline claims a "boozy bender" isn't to blame, but rather Scott's refusal to take medication for a "medical issue" he has been suffering from for over a decade.

"Scott started using drugs and alcohol as a way to escape from his problems. However, the more he continued to drink, the worse his other problem became," a source close to Kourtney Kardashian's ex told the outlet.

Earlier this week the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed they transported the 34-year-old to hospital after emergency services were called to his Hidden Hills home in LA on August 18.

RadarOnline reported that Scott, who shares three children with ex Kourtney Kardashian, was also placed on 5150 psychiatric hold, meaning the patient is hospitalised on an involuntary basis for up to 72 hours if considered a danger to himself or to others, according to California law.

However the publication added the reality star was not held for the entire 72 hours.

And while he and Kourtney are no longer an item, the mother of his three kids, and Kardashian momager Kris Jenner were still there for Scott when he needed them most.

"Kourtney and Kris had to sign off on Scott getting 5150’d on August 18 because they are the closest thing to a family that Scott has," the insider added to the publication.

"Kourtney and Scott know that the incident was caused by him not taking medications that he is prescribed. Scott was compliant with the hospital doctor’s orders and was released."

The chilling audio from the 911 call made on Scott's behalf was also released earlier this week.

In the call Scott's bodyguard tells the operator they were told to call 911 after "someone in the house got drunk".
