Matty J ‘rejected’ by Bachelor winner

He's already been rejected once after Georgia Love went with Lee Elliott on The Bachelorette finale.

Now it seems Bachelor Matty J is due to suffer some heartbreak for the second time round.

According to NW, the marketing manager will "pop the question" to one of the show's final three contestants - Laura Byrne, Elise Stacy or Tara Pavlovic – but instead of the 'happily ever after' he's so longed for his chosen lady says no.

“It was brutal,” an insider told the mag. “She just stood there for a while before she started crying and told him that she couldn’t say yes – not yet.”

However, not to worry Matty and his Bachelorette of choice “are still together and in love” she just thought it was “too soon” for an engagement.

Keen viewers will notice that Matty's proposal is something of a throwback to when former Bachelor Blake Garvey proposed to Sam Frost three years ago.

However, that didn’t work out too well as Blake dumped Sam soon after for runner-up Louise Pillidge.

This year’s top favourite Laura recently confessed that Matty definitely has her heart.

Having made it into the top four, the 31-year-old revealed Matty’s visit to her family and hometown sealed the deal for her.

“Absolutely,” Laura told news.com.au when asked whether she was in love with him.

“It was definitely during the hometown visits, having him there with my family, that made it real. My family were so approving and excited and accepts, and just instantly like ‘this guy’s great!’” she told the outlet.
