Niall confirms he's single and ready to mingle

He's one of the most in-demand pop stars on the planet after shooting to fame as part of boy band One Direction.

But believe it or not, Niall Horan is not in a relationship.

Speaking to Nova FM's Fitzy and Wippa radio show on Tuesday, the 23-year-old Irish singer confirmed he's single and ready to mingle, before revealing what his go-to romantic moves are.

"Yeh, still single," he told Australian radio hosts Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald and Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli.

"What's the most romantic thing that you have done for a lass?" Fitzy then asked. "Have you taken someone on a private jet?"

Niall admitted: "I have".

But when the radio hosts asked where he took the lucky lady, and if it was Las Vegas, Niall cheekily responded: "Don't bring anyone to Vegas".

It seems the Slow Hands singer likes to keep it a little more low-key when he's dating.

"I live quite the simple life actually," he revealed.

Back in 2015, Niall was seen emerging from a private plane, with his then-girlfriend, Melissa Whitelaw, who just happens to be Australian.

You know what that means ladies. Niall's certainly not against finding love Down Under.

Over the weekend he kicked off his string of Australian concerts, with an intimate show at Sydney's Enmore Theatre.

Speaking at his Sydney soundcheck fan event just befor the first concert, he revealed what it's like to do his own thing, away from the pressure of being in the most successful boy band in music history, One Direction.
