The new Downsizing trailer introduces viewers to a very different world, where humans shrink down to five inches in height as a solution to the issue of over-population.
But it's more than size that makes the lead actor's look very different in the upcoming flick.
Matt Damon, who stars in the film alongside Kristen Wiig, is almost unrecognisable at one stage as his famous mop of brown hair disappears.
Once he commits to undergoing the shrinking process with his onscreen wife, played by Kristen, a minituarised Matt wakes up from the procedure, completely bald and very pale.
Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alexander Payne, Downsizing opened the 74th Venice Film Festival recently, and also stars the likes of Jason Sudeikis and Christoph Waltz.
As for what audiences can take away from the film, Alexander recently told Deadline: " I hope audiences think it was well made and made with joy".
Downsizing hits cinemas in Australia in December.
