Selena parties after kidney transplant

Selena Gomez has proven to be one tough cookie, dancing her heart out at boyfriend The Weeknd’s gig just weeks after undergoing a kidney transplant.

The singer received a kidney from her best friend Francia Raisa as she continues to battle the autoimmune disease lupus.

But the former Disney star wasn’t letting her illness get her down instead choosing to live life to the fullest and hit the dance floor.

After heading out on a date night with her man Selena wasted no time in finding her spot at the back of the crowd and getting her groove on as her beau belted out his hit Feel It Comin’.

It's certainly not the first time the 25-year-old has been seen at her 27-year-old boyfriend's gigs - she's made a regular habit of cheering him on since the pair started dating.

Meanwhile Selena' mum, Mandy Teefy, has commented on her daughter's kidney transplant saying she felt "helpless" as she watched Selena battle the disease.

Taking to Instagram to reshare a photo of Selena and Francia in their hospital bed's post-surgery, Mandy wrote: "Mama Bear was in high gear. Selena gained a kidney, I was able to keep my little girl, but I also gained another daughter ... thank you to everyone who was there for Sel, Francia and our families. We survived from all the love, prayers and God.”
