But in real life, Emilia Clarke has always been proud brunette.

Now it seems the British actress has decided to embody her onscreen character and has bleached her hair Khaleesi blonde.

And guess what? She looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

In a post shared to Instagram, the 30-year-old shared an adorable snap of her in the hairdressers chair with newly lightened locks.

The caption credited Khaleesi for the inspp, saying: "Mother of dragons meet Emilia. Emilia meet mother of dragons."

Naww, this is too darn cute.

The star also thanked her Game of Thrones hairstylists, (who she credited as creating her Khaleesi wigg) for making "this magical moment a reality".

This was all followed by a string of hashtags, #khaleesikicksoff #gameofthrones and #cominghomeneverfeltsogood - making it appear that her transformation comes ahead of filming for the eighth and final season of the epic drama.
