Sophie’s winning man a ‘devout Catholic’
An insider close to Bachelorette Sophie Monk has revealed that the man set to win her heart is yet to appear on the show.
Speaking to Fairfax, the insider has named pub heir Stu Laundy as the lucky lad who is reportedly set to make his debut as an intruder.
According to the insider the 44-year-old, who divorced his first wife Rachel whom he shares four daughters with, is a devout Catholic.
“The Laundys are quite devout Catholics but pretty down to earth people," the source told the outlet.
As for whether self-confessed bogan Sophie, 37, would have trouble fitting in with their family, the insider was clear: "They made their money from some pretty rough pubs so nothing would shock them and she does like a drink."
Interestingly, the Bachelorette isn’t the first time the pair have crossed paths.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Stu met Sophie last year and planned a date for her on his yacht but she cancelled at the last minute because “she was hangover”.
