Russell Brand gets flirty with Fifi Box

The flirtfest between Russell Brand and Fifi Box continues, with the British comedian joking she's his "third favourite Australian".

While chatting to The Project on Monday, the 42-year-old said the radio host came in a close third behind bushranger Ned Kelly and Australian tennis player Rod Laver on his life favourite Aussies. Watch the cheeky video above.

"Last time I came on your show it was a mental, crazy laugh. And this time it seems we're talking a bit more spiritually and a bit more maturely," Russell told the show's panel.

"Russell, I do blame last time you were on, our lack of maturity on Fifi Box, just so you know," co-host Peter Helliar joked with the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star.

"So do I. In the absence of Fifi, we're talking about the nature of reality. When Fifi is present, we squirt out a fecal-looking moose on to the desk," the father-of-one replied, much to the amusement of the hosts.

After joking that he covers "an expanse" when it comes to his favourite people from Down Under, Russell asked the show to "give her [Fifi Box] my love!" Too cute.

The pair have a history of flirty interviews, with Russell claiming on The Project back in 2015 that he was the father of Fifi's daughter Beatrix "Trixie" Belle.

During a later appearance Russell even joked they should try and give her a sibling.

"For me, all things must come from a centre of truth, whether you're doing this interview on The Project, or stand up comedy or making love to a fine looking woman in hope of a second child," he said at the time while Fifi was co-hosting the show.

Russell hasn't been shy in letting his feelings be known about Fifi either, adding: "That woman, Fifi Box, for me exemplifies all that is great about Australia - she is fun she is frivolous she is beautiful, full of life, clucky, can-do spirit, she's unstoppable, I adore her."

However while they have joked about children together, Russell and wife Laura Gallacher welcomed daughter Mabel Brand in November last year.
